Lore and Personal Gnosis is a dichotomy that plagues polytheist communities regardless of whether or not your flavor of Polytheism is Greek, Irish, or anything else. Regardless of which you prefer, though, they all form the backbone of our beliefs- often alongside the sciences; together they create a whole where there would only be pieces- and this week we want to focus on one of those pieces.

TAP: May 2017

Devotionals are short but often intense periods of prayer, reflection, and offerings to the Divine. Such periods of action are external to and separate from the main practices of a religion- occurring during out private time in order to foster a deeper understanding of and connection with our Deities.

The most common form is that of Daily Devotionals– or such a period which is carried out once a day (or even at varying intervals throughout the day. But while this is by far the most common form of Devotionals practiced by people around the world, Such acts may be carried out weekly or even monthly at varying intervals depending on the Practitioner.

TAP: April 2017

To Worship is to show reverence and adoration through the performance of various religious rites. For most people, this is done for Divine figures. For others, those they worship might not be Divine, but are often still supernatural. Some may even worship living (or, more correctly, once living) beings- like Ancestors or Heroes. One thing is certain, however, and that is that worship is often the touchstone of religion; those to whom we devote ourselves in the name of our faith are often integral to our practices in many ways.
